About Us

Willow Springs Home Care started in San Diego County in 2024, a time when post-pandemic inflation affected every aspect of American lives. As the cost of living skyrocketed across the country, aging in place is harder to achieve than it once was. We are here to help you live an independent and fulfilling lifestyle just like you planned. To caregivers out there, we understand the hardship that you experienced as you take on a caregiver role. For you, the journey might be uncertain and daunting, but we want to assure you that you are not alone. You are the inspiration for what we do. We hope to be a part of your heroic journey to care for your loved ones and give you the time you deserve to care for yourself.

The passion that drove our founders to form this nonprofit organization began with the loss of their beloved sister and aunt, Loan, to cancer. After two chemotherapy sessions and participating in a clinical trial, Loan learned that she had less than six months to live. As her health declined, she received care in the comfort of her home through a home care agency. Forever grateful for the services provided by the agency, this drove the Willow Springs founders to help others like Loan and seniors in their community live vibrant and comfortable lives.  Towards the end of her life, Loan spent most of her time with friends at the local community center and gave what little she had, whether it was money or time, to those who needed help. Seeing the importance of altruism and the value of social support from Loan, her family wants to instill these core principles into the organization to promote health through a strong and caring community network.

Quan Lam, Ph.D.

Founder

When Quan lost her aunt in 2022, she searched for a way to help those in her community through her aunt's core values: altruism and kindness. She formed Willow Springs Home Care to help increase home care accessibility to seniors so they can live independently at home and stay close to their families and friends. She hopes this organization can provide an important social service to her community by giving family members of those in need the time to pursue their education and careers while providing jobs to those who want to pursue caregiving. She looks forward to working with seniors who want to age in place and the families who are looking after their loved ones.

Tanner always had a passion for molecules and their impact on our bodies. This led him to pursue a doctorate in organic chemistry and is currently a medicinal chemist at a pharmaceutical company. He is excited about his work in developing small molecule drugs and their future positive impact on people’s lives. In the meantime, he hopes to change the lives of local San Diegans through this nonprofit.
